Dominic Avant
Dominic Avant is the Founder and CEO of Shoe Fly is a local charitable 501 (C) 3 organization. Shoe Fly provides shoes and resources to families in the Greater Area of St. Louis. Dominic transformed a vision of giving shoes to children in need to an entity that continues to help many families during their time of need.
Shoe Fly has a mission to provide a pair of shoes to children in need all while restoring hope and self-esteem. Since 2016, the organization has supplied over 3,000 shoes along with other essential resources for families. Shoe Fly believe in establishing a Sole Seed of Hope for kids within the community.
Dominic has served as a Family Engagement Specialist, Therapeutic Mentor, Camp, and Youth Program Director. Dominic is married to Centennial Avant, who is a Biology Teacher in the Normandy School District.
Dominic received his bachelor of science from Harris Stowe State University in Interdisciplinary Studies in 2013. He continued his education at Webster University where he received a master of arts in Nonprofit Leadership.
